Chalk-style paint has become incredibly popular in recent years. How is it different from traditional paint? Chalk-style paint is recognized by its soft, ultra-matte finish. It resembles a surface covered in chalk, hence the name. The paint is water based so it is easy to clean with no harsh fumes or VOCs. It is also thicker and easier to work with than standard paint. Chalk paint is not to be confused with chalkboard paint. Our formulations will adhere to just about any surface with little to no prep whatsoever! This makes it SUPER easy to give old furniture a makeover. All you need to do is grab a paintbrush and go!
Furniture Makeovers
Distressed Look: If you like the shabby, old look, all you need to do is take a tiny piece of sand paper and "rough up" the piece after painting. Finish it with a coating of dark wax to age it.
Smooth and modern: If you want a contemporary look, sand it slightly between coats and finish with a clear wax. Waxing and sanding is actually optional! We've seen beautiful results without using either.
